Cheney said that his job within the Bush administration is that of an open but discreet advisor. Cheney said that when he accepted the Republican nomination as vice president He was excited about working with a president who would work across political lines to reach his objectives and work with his opponents in good faith. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30 1941) was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been wed with Richard Herbert Cheney for over thirty years. In 1941, when Richard Bruce Cheney was 13, he and his family left Lincoln Nebraska and moved to Casper Wyoming where his father was the head of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's regional conservation districts.
