Zazie O. Beetz was conceived in Berlin on November 21, 1991. Her father, a German cabinetmaker who moved into the United States after the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, is also her mother, a South African American social worker. She attended at the same school as Jennifer Aniston. Beetz, who graduated from LaGuardia in 2007 was a student at Skidmore College and studied French. The auditions began immediately following graduation from the college. After a few auditions in Atlanta, she landed the part of Van. Beetz was the daughter of an African American father and an African American father and a German mother from Berlin and Berlin was brought up as an ethnically diverse New Yorker. Zazie has performed in theaters around the city since the age of a kid. Her passion for acting was evident and she began acting in elementary school. Zendaya achieved an Disney Channel breakout role thanks her impressive dancing skills. The year 2010 was the year that the dancer and actress finally had her first role of note and that was when Bella Thorne cast her as Rocky Blue. Zendaya was 11 years old while in a trip for the family, she came across an animal processing plant. Zendaya tells PEOPLE, "I thought it was horrible to see all the animals getting packed up in there in a cage waiting to be killed. It wasn't how I would eat my food! She has since stayed on a vegan diet.
