Katherine Heigl admits that she grew up in a white bubble, and how this realization affected the way she raised adopted multiracial children. In an interview with she spoke about the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress admitted her body didn't matter to her. But after talking to her adoptive sister in South Korea about how society had treated them, she was aware of how much different they were. In my interview, I asked Meg how she was treated at public events, whether with or without our parents, she said it was distinct. She replied "Oh Yes, all the occasion!" Heigl talked to parents about when she realized her ignorance. The actor said she became upset, but she felt that she had use that anger to aid her adopted daughters. Heigl has a four year old son with her 13-year husband, Josh Kelley. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is an Black 8-year-old girl adopted in the year 2012.
